The three rings surrounding the illuminant in the centre of the Marchetti Pura pendant light reflect the emitted light upwards and downwards to prevent glare. In this way, the area underneath the pendant light is provided with bright zone light while the upwards-directed light is reflected by the ceiling into the room which results in soft ambient lighting.
